Eskom announces Stage 2 load-shedding

Eskom announced Stage 2 load shedding will be implemented on Friday from noon to 10pm.
Eskom warned on Friday morning that there is no guarantee when comes to power stations.
The power utility is urging the public to use electricity sparingly this weekend as cold weather is expected to affect many areas.

Eskom spokesperson Sikonathi Mantshantsha said, “if major equipment breaks before then, that could add to the three days. Yes, we are still working to limit load-shedding to only three days.
“Load-shedding can happen at any time. For the past two days, we’ve just been scraping through without having to implement load-shedding.
Consumers are urged to use electricity sparingly.
