EC police continue search for escaped detainees

Eastern Cape police have launched a 72-hour activation plan for six escapees from the Grahamstown Correctional Centre.

Eight inmates escaped on Tuesday with one rearrested on Tuesday.

It is believed they snuck out of a window at the facility.

The public has been urged not to approach the prisoners and rather contact the police.
