Watch – That time when Enhle Mbali went to San Franciso

Earlier this year Enhle Mbali, won her first international fashion award in San Francisco, US. The fashion designer was awarded the Best Designer Collection for her fashion line, Essie Apparel, by Fashion Community Week.

After winning the award, Enhle shared with her followers the good news of her win.

I won my first international award for best designer this weekend in San Francisco! So proud of my team and thank you all for the support! Onwards and upwards, let’s take up space,” Enhle shared on Instagram.

The actress has given a look into the few days she spent in San Francisco when she received the award.

“When I came home with my fashion community international award after my @essie_apparel fashion show, it felt like I was representing my country in The world also representing my family,” shared Enhle.

Speaking to SowetanLIVE, Enhle shared her excitement over the win and how hard she worked on Essie Apparel.

“I had put a lot of work into the collection, so naturally I hoped that people, especially the local fashion community would appreciate Essie Apparel and go on to consider it as a formidable emerging brand into the scene.”

Essie Apparel made it’s debut at the South African Fashion Week (SAFW) Autumn/Winter and her fashion line made quite a stir. The collection featured faux leather dresses, catsuits, skirts, puffy jackets, and faux fur coats.

The range has been featured in Vogue Italia and definitely has a bright future in these fashion streets.
