Emtee is getting tired of being Judged

Emtee wants to live in a country where people are not judged by the cars they drive; is he asking for too much?
Emtee is never shy to speak his mind. The DIY 2 rapper shares his thoughts on social media with little filter (remember the time he told SA women to wear more clothes? Yeah…) and when he’s not threatening to beat his haters up or talking about his come up, he does occasionally drop pearls of wisdom.
Although we’re not sure if his latest tweets classify as “wisdom”, we couldn’t help but agree with the father of two after he spoke openly about South Africa’s car culture (and the judgement it comes with).
As of 2017 there were over 12 million registered vehicles in Mzansi but not all of them can be expensive BMWs or flashy Mercs. Some of us can only afford ama skoro skoro and as long as it gets us from point A to point B, there shouldn’t be a problem, right?
Wrong.
Emtee knows all too well that if your ride doesn’t match your status in life, people will invariably make fun of you (more on this in a moment) and the Ambitiouz Entertainment star is fed up with this.
He took to Twitter to vocalized his frustrations to Twitter saying:

The hypocrisy of the people Emtee is referring to is actually hilarious and for once, the masses agreed with the rapper’s musings.
Who can forget that back in 2016 when he was still new-to-the-game Emtee was seen pushing his car in Durban after it had broken down.
This was on the same night he was meant to be winning awards at the Metro FM Music Awards!
Luckily for him, things are much better these days. The rapper bought himself a flashy Mercedes a year later. Judging from his tweet this week though, it seems as if even a Merc won’t impress everybody.
Did you know that Emtee has also bought a Mercedes Benz for his son?
