Attacks on emergency workers on the rise

There’s been a spike in attacks on emergency medical services personnel recently.

Last month EMS workers were attacked by a mob in Atteridgeville.

A patient inside the ambulance was also killed in that incident.

As authorities in Gauteng gear up for the festive season, we are this morning finding out what measures are being put in place to safeguard emergency workers.
