Elephant kills ranger in SA Park

Cops spokesperson Colonel Moatshe Ngoepe said the there were loose elephants at Hlomela Village which were spotted by the Community near the Kruger National park.

COPS in Limpopo have open docket after an elephant has trampled and killed a ranger in Hlomela village outside Giyani.

The rangers who were tracing the two elephants shot one dead but the other attacked and killed Masenyane Thomas Makhubele (59).

The deceased was residing in Giyani section E. The deceased was a Ranger at the Kruger National Park. Ngoepe said the investigations continue.
