We currently have a great opportunity for an experienced Installation Electrician to join our maintenance team at our busy engineering facility in Blackburn. This highly important and varied role will see Job Holder take responsibility for carrying out all aspects of daily site maintenance including installations, machinery, equipment, plant services, facilities and buildings.
Job role
Carrying out and assisting but not limited to, installation projects, planned and unplanned maintenance activities as determined and set out by the Maintenance Manager to set targets.
To ensure an effective and efficient service is delivered to site production by identifying and solving fault and problems at the root cause.
Providing technical expertise to the team if required, assisting with the development of junior team members.
Consistently promoting high standards through personal example, in a timely and efficient manner at all times.
Adopt a flexible and adaptable approach to business needs, including overtime and shift support when required.
Communicate potential energy-saving and improvement opportunities.
Acting as site contact when external contractors are on site.
The Person
Proven experience in electrical installation and mechanical maintenance.
Must have proven ability of machine process controls
Hydraulic pneumatic experience advantageous
Experience working on own initiative within a fast-paced maintenance engineering environment.
A team player with good verbal and written communication skills.
Reliable and conscientious with a flexible attitude to work.
Relevant technical knowledge.
Problem-solving skills.
Educated to a minimum of City 7 Guilds Level 3 or equivalent in ElectroTechnical technology.
