Electrical and Mechanical Technician

Location: Edenvale, Johannesburg

Salary: Market-related (CTC Negotiable based on experience)

Are you a skilled Electrical and Mechanical Technician looking for a new opportunity? We’re seeking a qualified individual to join our team in Edenvale, Johannesburg.

Requirements:

• Matric with relevant qualifications.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Electrical/Mechanical Technician.
• Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems and components.
• Proven ability to diagnose and repair complex machinery issues.
• Familiarity with X-ray technology and diamond recovery processes is an advantage.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment with shifting priorities and multiple deadlines.
• Willingness to work overtime when required.
• Ability to travel as needed for on-site support and maintenance.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities:

• Using programming tools to program EPROMS for PC boards.
• Checking and testing Ejectors, Optic Box, Generators, Window Frames, and PC Boards.
• Testing, programming/loading of all sub-assemblies into the final product.
• Utilizing multimeter, amp meter, isolator meter, and oscilloscope for testing.
• Quality control on all mechanical parts received from outside suppliers.
• Quality control on all in-house parts and assemblies.
• Assembling Diamond Recovery Machines.
• Maintaining and Operating Diamond Recovery Machines.
• Mechanical assemblies of all sub-assemblies.
• Testing, programming, and loading all sub-assemblies into the final products
• Working Hours: Mon To Thurs 08:00 to 17:00

Friday: 08:00 – 15:00
