Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) leader Julius Malema has dared those who want to leave his party to leave immediately. This comes in the wake of the departure of his longtime friend Floyd Shivambu from the EFF to join the MK Party, with reports that many are likely to jump ship.
A visibly irritated leader of the red berets has addressed hundreds of EFF supporters at the Orlando Community Hall in Soweto. Malema says for now they will be determined to build the party and isolate those who want to use the EFF for their own personal gain.

On the matter of the government of national unity (GNU) which the EFF is not part of, Malema says it must be declared the enemy of his party. He adds that the members of the party who have recently left, were the ones who said that the EFF must join the GNU.
“They said we must join the GNU, the DA and Freedom Front Plus will walk away. I asked them the same question that I asked even during the negotiations, if we go into the GNU, the DA doesn’t walkout, what do we do.
