EFF promises to continue the push for CR17 documents release

The EFF said on Monday it will continue to push for the CR17 documents to be revealed. The documents detail funding for President Cyril Ramaphosa‘s campaign to become ANC president.
The EFF said at a media briefing it’s concerned Ramaphosa might be involved in dodgy deals meant to favour the elite few. The party is questioning the multimillion-rand Mooikloof housing project in the east of Pretoria
EFF leader Julius Malema said the continued secrecy practised by Ramaphosa is concerning.
“It is likely that the donors found within the documents are beneficiaries of tenders, appointments within the state and are in control of the policy perspectives of South Africa,” Malema said.

The EFF also voiced plans to organise action against companies that have not paid employees money claimed from the Unemployment Insurance Fund for COVID-19 relief.
Malema stated that should the rate of COVID-19 infections continue to increase, the party will call for another hard lockdown to minimise loss of life and the spread of the virus.
