EFF marches against City of Tshwane smart meters

Several streets around Sunnyside in Pretoria will be closed today due to a march led by the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF).

The party will be marching against the installation of smart meters by the City of Tshwane. The city has contracted the Midcity Property Agency to carry out the installation.

Marchers are expected to gather at the Corner Bourke and Jorrisen Street this morning and will march to the Midcity Property Agency Offices in Pretoria.

Motorists and residents are advised to use alternative routes.
Tshwane Metro Police and South African Police Service officers will be deployed to monitor the march and affected streets.
