EFF leader Julius Malema wants gun charges against him to be dropped

Judgment in the court application to have EFF leader Julius Malema’s firearm trial removed from the court roll will be made on 19 October.

He is accused of discharging a weapon in public during the party’s fith anniversary celebration back in 2018. A video of Malema went viral when he accused East London Magistrate Twanet Olivier of always being late.

He now wants to have all charges against him dropped due to lack of evidence. Magistrate Oliver says she has to read and analyse each and every document that was made during Wednesday’s heads of argument.
