EC Health MEC Sindiswa Gomba to appear before Special Tribunal

Eastern Cape Health MEC Sindiswa Gomba is expected to answer questions before a Special Tribunal on Friday.

This follows allegations of financial irregularities, involving her department’s controversial scooter project.

The Special Investigating Unit is probing a R10-million contract to provide scooters for the health department.

Health Minister Zweli Mkhize admitted the scooters didn’t meet the basic requirements for patient transport.
