President Cyril Ramaphosa is promising temporary housing for Eastern Cape flood victims within 30 days.
He was visiting affected areas in Kariega and surrounding areas.
Ramaphosa also pledged support to those affected by extreme weather in KwaZulu-Natal.
The president said the extent of damage caused by the recent floods is far worse than the government anticipated.
