Seven dead, including a minor after Eastern Cape crash on R58
Seven people died, and one sustained serious injuries in an accident involving a bakkie and a car on the R58 between Lady Grey and Maletswai in the Eastern Cape.
The car, with 6 occupants collided head-on with a bakkie with 2 occupants heading in the Maletswai direction.
All 6 occupants from car, including a minor, were declared dead on the scene, along with the bakkie’s female passenger.
The injured male driver of the bakkie was rushed to a hospital in Maletswai with serious injuries.
A case of culpable homicide has been opened at Lady Grey SAPS.
