Eastern Cape ANC calls for calm after members gunned down

The ANC in the Eastern Cape is calling for calm after two Nelson Mandela Bay members were killed on Monday.

The two murders come after another ANC councillor Zwelandile Booi was gunned down in February.

On Monday, ANC Nelson Mandela Bay Ward councillor Andile Andries and the regional executive committee member Lubabalo Keso were shot dead outside Andries’ home.

The ANC’s Luyolo Nqakula said this was an act of plain criminality.

“We are calling for calm from all our members,” said Nqakula.
