Traffic volumes expected to pick up ahead of Easter weekend

Holidaymakers are making their way around the country for rest and relaxation for the Easter period. The N3 in KwaZulu-Natal is synonymous with high traffic volumes, the provincial Police Commissioner and the transport MEC will be part of law enforcement teams on the highways.

Authorities are out in their numbers on various roads in the Mother City to help monitor traffic. Meanwhile, there are snaking queues at the Lebombo border post in Komatipoort between South Africa and Mozambique.

Travellers are warned of delays as it becomes even worst over the Easter weekend. The Border Management Authority is also expected to visit the crossing on Thursday.
