Moving houses is permitted during level 4 lockdown

People who purchased homes before the lockdown will be allowed to relocate and move their goods. These are regulations published and gazetted by Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs Minister Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma.

This also includes new lease agreements and businesses moving to new premises. However, travel across provincial, metropolitan, or district boundaries will require a permit from the police.

Movers are urged to adhere to COVID-19 regulations and directives issued by the transport minister. Those moving should do so between 7 May and 7 June. This will be a once-off movement.  Coronavirus Hotline Number: 0800 029 999 from 8am to 4 pm, Monday to Friday
