Radio personality, Somizi Mhlongo repeats similar style rocked to Durban July despite being trolled back then.

Somizi’s outfit in July this year, 2019 was one of the highlights of the event and it trended on social media, as some critics came hard for him, saying he rocked a tent.

Interestingly, in a recent post shared on Instagram, the star rocked the same style, a suit with a long cape in gold.

Captioning the post, Somgaga says that, it’s his uniqueness, and he isn’t apologetic for dressing like that to Durban July, as it paid him off.

“Lesson 101 kids. Always stay true to who u are. The universe responds better t authenticity and genuineness. In July I went for this look for the Durban July. Only because I wanted to have fun at the races. I wanted to create my own met gala. I fun I had. Most love the look. They called it showstopper. OTT. very somG. Whilst some hated it. Saying it looked like a tent. Even made memes.”

He added: “Well darling my unapologetic uniqueness paid off. Someone saw an idea. Look at me now. It was so nice we had to do it twice. Paper darlings. Guapp.”
