Dudu Myeni’s trial expected to go ahead with or without her

Will Dudu Myeni finally come to court? The former SAA chairperson’s trial is expected to start on Monday, with or without her.

Myeni previously missed three court appearances, first claiming she didn’t have money to travel from KwaZulu-Natal to Pretoria.

Her legal team then told the court it needed more time. The Organisation Undoing Tax Abuse and the SAA Pilots’ Association are asking the court to declare Myeni a delinquent director.

According to Outa, during Myeni’s tenure, SAA lost over R16-billion. Judge Ronel Tolmay told the court there’s been too many delays, and the case will continue.
