Former SAA chair Dudu Myeni declared a delinquent director

Former South African Airways chairperson Dudu Myeni has been declared a delinquent director for life. This means Myeni cannot hold any directorship in any company for the rest of her life. Organisation Undoing Tax Abuse (OUTA) and the SAA Pilots’ Association (SAAPA) brought forward the case to court.

They accuse Myeni of plunging the national carrier into financial chaos while she was chairperson.

The judgment has been referred to the National Prosecution Authority for possible further investigations. Myeni is also expected to pay costs.
