DRIVER CODE 10 with PDP Wanted – Apply Now. Purpose: To ensure that loading and offloading of goods and transfers are monitored the delivered accurately and punctually in good condition. This includes dealing with customers and providing good customer service, liaising with staff from all branches and maintaining professionalism and making sure that the delivery vehicle remains in good condition by doing daily check-up.

Responsibilities:

¨ Plan and proceed with the most efficient delivery route

¨ Monitor and check goods, transfers loaded and offloaded on the vehicle

¨ Responsible for correct completion of relevant documentation for transfers and deliveries

¨ Ensure that all goods are undamaged when delivered to customer

¨ Ensure the correct goods are delivered to the correct customer and to the correct site

¨ Monitor the condition of delivery vehicle, by conducting daily check-ups and completing vehicle inspection check list

¨ Maintenance and housekeeping of delivery vehicle and ensure that the vehicle is in a roadworthy condition

¨ Report discrepancies, incidents, and vehicle faults to superior after completing vehicle repair sheet

¨ Ensure the availability of truck assistants for deliveries

¨ Monitor and supervise truck assistants during deliveries when loading/offloading

¨ Adhere to health and safety regulations and traffic rules

¨ Participate in perpetual stock takes

¨ Perform any work related tasks delegated by superior

¨ Undertake any other reasonable duties as may be requested by the Yard Supervisor.

Requirements:

¨ Matric Certificate (NQF4) or an Equivalent NQF certification

¨ Code 10 Drivers License & PDP (Public Driving Permit: Goods and Passengers) ESSENTIAL

¨ Previous experience in a Retail Hardware environment

¨ Ability to handle pressure and still maintain professional

¨ Ability to communicate effectively (verbal & written) – English and another language

¨ Provide excellent Customer service

¨ Have planning, time management (incl. punctuality) & organising skills
