At 15H17 Tuesday afternoon Netcare 911 responded to reports of a collision on the R102 North bound in Compensation on the KZN North Coast.
Reports from the scene indicate that the driver of a SUV lost control after swerving to avoid a car driving contra-flow, resulting in the vehicle crashing into a ditch.
The driver, an adult male sustained moderate injuries and was treated on scene.
Once stabilised the patient was transported by Netcare 911 ambulance to hospital for further treatment.
