My client based in Cape Town, is seeking to employ a driver.
The driver is required to accurately load, deliver and collect items from hospitals in the Cape Town region.
Responsibilities:
Load, deliver and collect all Medical sets and stock to and from hospitals, timeously and accurately.
To ensure that all applicable documentation is completed accurately and timeously.
Assist with the packing of all Medical sets to hospitals and compiling/completing the relevant delivery documents.
Safe storage of stock and Medical sets in your possession.
All documentation to be at hand before returning to the office i.e. all POD’s to be signed off by customer and information of delivery entered on the dispatch register.
Ensure that all SAA parcels are delivered and collected timeously as per the delivery times.
Ensure that all invoicing/Medical set documents are scanned and forwarded to the invoicing department daily.
Daily vehicle inspection registers and trip sheets including petrol slips must be checked and forwarded to the relevant line manager/team leader within 24 hours.
Strict control and safe keeping of petrol card and only use for petrol, oil & toll fees where needed.
Ensure that the company vehicle entrusted to you is cleaned weekly and maintained at all times including regular oil checks.
All accidents and incidents must be reported to the line manager/team leader the same day.
The company vehicles are restricted to company use only and any private use must be cleared with the line manager/team leader.
Adhere to the rules of the road in full & no speeding & smoking in the vehicle under any circumstances.
Required Skills
driving experience : 2 to 3 years
Expereince in the medical sector : 1 year or less
Candidate Requirements
Essential Minimum requirements
Grade 12 qualification
Valid drivers licence with own transport
Good, and clear communication, fluency in English
Preference will be given to candidates residing in close proximity of Rondebosch.
Previous experience working with hospital loan sets an advantage
Able to work after hours, shift and call rosters
Good computer skills (i.e. MS Office package)
Ability to work under pressure
Positive drive and self0learning
Outstanding work ethic and team player
Ability to prioritise
Customer and service orientated
Preference will be given to a non-smoker
