KwaZulu-Natal: At 14H22 Tuesday afternoon, Netcare911 responded to reports of a shooting on Peters Road in Springfield Park Durban.
Reports indicate that multiple people had been shot in what was alleged to be a hit.
On arrival, a bakkie was found riddled with bullet holes following a drive-by shooting.
On the scene with Netcare 911 was Emer-G-Med paramedics, Government ems, Durban Metropolitan Police, Marshall Security, Marshall Security Special Operations Team, Life Response 24, and the SAPS.
On assessment, two occupants, an adult male and an adult female were found slumped over, both patients were assessed however showed no signs of life and were sadly declared deceased on the scene.
A 9-year-old female who was seated in the back of the vehicle was found in critical condition.
Advanced Life Support intervention was needed to stabilize her, however, her condition rapidly deteriorated and went into cardiac arrest.
Efforts to resuscitate here were successful.
The patient was placed on a ventilator and rushed to a specialist medical facility.
Unfortunately due to the extent of her injuries, she sadly died shortly after arrival at the hospital.
Circumstances leading up to the incident will be investigated by the relevant authorities who were on the scene.
