Dondo Mogajane appointed GEPF chairperson

Former Treasury Director-General, Dondo Mogajane, has been appointed chairperson of the Government Employees Pension Fund board. The GEPF Board of Trustees held its first meeting on Tuesday.

In a statement, Finance Minister Enoch Godongwana, also congratulated Eddie Kekana, who was elected as deputy chairperson of the pension fund. The minister thanked the outgoing board for its service.

Godongwana emphasised the need for the incoming board to continue to lead the fund with care and judiciousness during the challenging economic climate.

In other news – Blade reboot delayed by three months

The “Blade” reboot’s start date has been delayed by three months. The Mahershala Ali-led project was due to start filming in July but it has reportedly been pushed back to October, according to Production Weekly.

The movie will begin filming at Tyler Perry Studios in October, with additional shooting taking place in Atlanta, New Orleans, Cleveland, and Morocco. No reason has been given for the delay. Learn more
