What’s the role?
You will be responsible for:
Underwriting of new quotes and renewals
Assisting with administration
Queries from clients, and brokers
Processing and issuing of policy documentation
Renewal reminders
Investigation and resolution of accounts queries
Operating within allocated mandate
Monthly report writing and lab training
Investigation and resolution of accounts queries
Articles for weathervane and industry related publications
Broker meetings and training
Attending various marketing initiatives / industry functions
Interacting with auditors
Regulatory requirements such as re exams; as well as work towards insurance qualification
When travelling outside of Gauteng, set up itineraries, arrange broker meetings, etc.
Getting involved in strategic projects
Ad hoc tasks
Candidate Requirements

Matric
At least 2 years relevant Short-Term Insurance experience in Domestic Underwriting
Ideally having worked for a broker or a sizeable insurance company.
Must have passed the RE5 (Representatives) exam.
Must have the relevant FAIS credits.
