On the emotionally charged episode, we saw her mother bursting into tears after she saw Nokuthula back at home, but her outcry swiftly became a meme and a remix to Dj Maphorisa’s hit song Phoyisa. Maphorisa also dropped a remix of the song featuring Busiswa and Cassper Nyovest.

This was in a bid to give money to the destitute family. Lord Phori challenged Mzansi to retweet his tweet and said one tweet is worth R 1. The tweet has since garnered more than 20k retweets.

While some have acknowledged Maphorisa’s attempt to give money to the family, some tweeps lambasted him for allegedly making a mockery of the family. The remix did not feature Kabza Da Small which led to complaints that if he featured Kabza it would have been a great hit.
