Trouble in paradise for DJ Maphorisa and Thuli Phongolo?

Thuli Phongolo has been linked to fellow DJ and Amapiano star DJ Maphorisa multiple times. And even though she has insisted on denying the rumours, fans have taken Phori’s silence as confirmation. But now it looks like there may be trouble in paradise for the two rumoured love birds.

It is Valentine’s day and everybody is excited for love. For us single people, we are planning on getting our dose of lovey dovey feels from watching our favourite celebrities get that baby girl or baby boy treatment for their loved ones, and hopefully, we can live vicariously through them and manifest the same love for ourselves.

One of the couples we have all been waiting to see is Thuli and Madumane. I mean, Thuli recently got a huge bouquet of red roses, purely out of the blue. Once again, fans were convinced that the flowers came from Madumane, but Thuli was quick to dispel the rumours as idle gossip.

But Thuli has recently taken to her Instagram stories to assert that she will be sitting Valentine’s out this year. She said we should count her out of the festivities, a statement which has raised more than a few eyebrows.

I mean, we would expect Phori – her rumoured beau – to do something big and sweet for her and vice versa. After all, Valentine’s is supposed to be the day people spend with their loved ones, so we were certainly expecting them to be all loved up today, you know?

But maybe this is the final proof of what Thuli has been saying all along, and falling on deaf ears. It is one of three things. She is either pretending not to have any Valentine’s plans to throw us off the scent so she can go off with Phori (like they were caught by accident last time in the same hotel room). It’s that, or she and Madumane are having some issues, thus will not be celebrating the lovers’ day.

The third possibility is that she has been telling the truth all along, and she is truly single; Phori and her are nothing but friends, and Mzansi got it all wrong from the beginning.
