WATCH LIVE: DJ Citi Lyts’ funeral underway

The funeral service of slain music producer and DJ Sandile Mkhize is underway.
The popular DJ who was best known as Citi Lyts died on Monday, 14 February after an attempted hijacking.
According to reports, he was ambushed and died on the scene after being shot eight times.
The DJ became popular in 2015 with his single Washa, when he joined record label Ambitiouz Entertainment.
He has worked with musicians Fifi Cooper, Sjava, B3nchmarq, LaSauce and Emtee.
His brother, hip-hop star Prokid died in 2018 after suffering a severe seizure.
The DJ’s death was confirmed to the People’s Paper by his dad Zwelakhe Kheswa, who said they were devastated but didn’t have much information about the incident.
“He was executed. I don’t have any information about it now. We don’t want to make a mess with speculations.”
Following the news of Citi Lyts’ passing, tributes have been pouring in for the fallen DJ, with many saying the music industry will not be the same without him.
His son Owethu wrote him a heartfelt letter saying that he is going to miss him.
“Dear Dad, I know you didn’t want me to leave me this soon, my birthday is next month, and I am sad that you won’t be there. Thank you for being the best, so please walk the path with me from here on and be there for me, I will always love you,” the letter read.
