eMalahleni mayor refutes disrespecting community
eMalahleni mayor Conny Nkalitshana has refuted accusations that she said people of eMalahleni don’t need electricity because they don’t have fridges.
Nkalitshana says the words were uttered by a woman who had lost her nephew the day before.
She says the attack on her was a big misunderstanding.
Residents have been blocking traffic on the N4 for the past three days.
They are angry over the inconsistent power supply and outages.
