Eastern Cape Premier Oscar Mabuyane disputing PP claims
Eastern Cape Premier Oscar Mabuyane is disputing the Public Protectors’ claims that he unlawfully benefited from a Winnie Madikizela-Mandela memorial service.
He is implicated in Busisiwe Mkhwebane’s report on alleged fraud linked to the memorial service.
The report says Mabuyane improperly benefited from municipal funds meant for the service.
However, the Premier says he was never involved in any act of fraud or corruption.
Mabuyane’s also instructed his lawyers to urgently interdict the implementation of the remedial action.
