Skills and Knowledge
Excellent communication skills on all levels with any client or staff member
Working knowledge of pre and post briefing off delivery teams
Knowledge of tracking systems
Must be able to work both independently and as part of a team
Analytical, pro-active, organized, innovative
Ability to work and make decisions under pressure
Duties & Responsibilities:
Supporting and assisting Management with:
Consistent and accurate communication between the delivery team, client and management
Operationally leading and supervising all driver/assistant activities
Briefing / debriefing of Drivers (loading and offloading)
Able to Schedule loads and team’s around operational challenges
Tacho and trip sheet analysis and dispatching vehicles, monitoring progress and utilization
Handling administrative tasks and reporting
Responsible for controlling delivery process from start to finish
General Requirements:
Grade 12
Tertiary qualification in Logistics/ Transportation Management or studying towards is an advantage
Logistics operations experience ESSENTIAL
Administration Skills/Basic reporting i.e. Fuel, Breakdowns
2 years’ experience in the Transport Industry in a supervisory position
Intermediate knowledge (MS Office and Outlook)
Valid driver’s license and Own reliable transport
Hands-on involvement in all areas of the business; Advanced problem-solving abilities
