Parliament to start EFF disciplinary process

Parliament’s Powers and Privileges Committee will start its hearing into the conduct of EFF MPs during a Public Enterprises budget mini-plenary.

EFF MPs tried to prevent Public Enterprises Minister Pravin Gordhan from delivering his budget vote address in July last year.

They were removed from the venue.

The hearing will start on Tuesday morning in the same venue where the incident took place.

In June last year, the State of The Nation Address was suspended for almost 30 minutes when the EFF demanded former president FW De Klerk be removed from the house.
