It has come to light that about 70 security guards are living in squalor and camping outside the Edenvale Hospital they are meant to be guarding.
They have been sleeping in tents for three weeks, and say they haven’t been paid for three months by the private company contracted by the Gauteng Health Department.
The department is trying to evict them from the hospital premises and has taken them to court.
