Former Deputy Chief Justice Dikgang Moseneke will receive the 2020 Bolch Prize for the Rule of Law. The Bolch Judicial Institution at Duke University’s School of Law made the announcement.
Moseneke was instrumental in drafting the interim Constitution at the dawn of democracy.
He earned two of his three degrees during his time in prison for opposing apartheid.
The retired justice is being described as a devoted lawmaker and passionate about social justice.
Moseneke will receive the award in Washington DC in April.
