Fire breaks at Diepsloot hydro-carbon plant: Joburg EMS

Johannesburg firefighters are battling a fire that broke out at hydro-carbon manufacturing plant in Diepsloot. Roads around the area are closed. No injuries or deaths have been reported so far.
Johannesburg EMS spokesperson Robert Mulaudzi said the site has a large quantity of compost which has fueled the fire.
But as the factory is not close to any residences or other buildings, the blaze is mostly under control.
“Although the fire is still alight, firefighters have contained the fire to the area already destroyed and prevented it from spreading further.
