Description: My client a bespoke software solutions company is looking for someone that would be responsible in overseeing, implementing, and managing the company’s strategy regarding application infrastructure.

Requirements:
2 years DevOPS in a previous role.
Software development from a non-functional perspective.
Scripting skills are desirable (BASH)
Experience working with containerization (Docker)
Experience of CI/CD and source control systems (Jenkins, Git)
Experience of production support on systems.
A strong understanding of DevOPS fundamentals and agile methods.

Competencies required:
Integration in a distributed architecture
The ability to dig into business requirements
Work under pressure and deadlines
Work closely with product development team
Experienced in the full software project life cycle

Responsibility:
Build, maintain development and production environments
Make use of CI/CD and source control systems (Jenkins, Git)
Investigate and solve any issues technically or non-technically.
Take an existing application and get it up and running in Kubernetes.
Make use of Docker for containerization.
Work on a majority of different DevOPS tool-sets
Working with Databases (Mongo, MySQL, Postgres)
Use and extend environment and product automation technologies
Planning, estimating and continuously improving CI, system designs and processes.

Salary: R32000
