Oliver South Africa is looking for a talented Designer (Financial Industry/services experienced) for a contract opportunity to be based at our client site in Braamfontein, Johannesburg (This will however be remote work until the lockdown is completed).

Employment type: 5 months fixed term contract.
Start date: 1 August 2020
Location: Braamfontein, Johannesburg

You will be part of a team that creates a variety of B2B content for a Financial Services client. This includes but isn’t limited to campaign development and ideation, newsletters, emailers, banners, social media content, ecards, brochures, videos, webinars and events, around various products and services.

You need to have good attention to detail, a proactive attitude, and good communication skills. As this is an in-house corporate position, a calm demeanor and positive attitude are a must.

Role overview:

Campaign development and ideation, newsletters, emailers in Everlytic, social media content, ecards, banners, PPT presentations and formatting, brochures, storyboards for videos, webinar collateral around products, services, and other B2B content.
Take complex product and service information, analyze and visualize it in a manner that is easy for consumers to digest. This could be through infographics, tables, iconography, etc.
Produce work that is on-brand, and be the brand custodian.
Quality checks own work.
Mentor junior digital designer.
Present work to the Client.
Help clients find solutions to their brief.
Sit in strategy sessions with Client where necessary.
Develop an effective working relationship with colleagues and Client.
Takes ownership and responsibility.
Complete timesheets.

REQUIREMENTS:

Strong design skills: Long-form, short-form, digital, social and B2B.
Have a proactive approach to briefs, adding value and looking at different approaches where possible.
Comfortable working in an unstructured, fast turn-around environment.
Solutions driven with a calm demeanour.
Able to juggle multiple projects at once.
Excellent teamwork and time management skills especially when working remotely.
Good attention to detail, ability to quality check your own work, a proactive attitude, and good communication skills.
Diploma or related degree in design or art direction.
5 plus years designing.
Ability to work in Adobe CC.
Ability to work in Microsoft 365 including designing PPT presentations.
B2B experience is advantageous.
Corporate experience advantageous.

Comfortable working on-site with Client. Other essential points to note:

As we are working remotely until the lockdown has completed, it is essential that the ideal candidate has the following in place to ensure there are no delays on delivering work timeously:

Back-up power supply, if necessary.
Stable internet connectivity – fibre connection preferable (options can be discussed) in order to connect to remote servers as well as conduct virtual meetings daily.
Personal computer with relevant capabilities necessary for the role. Applications close: 31st July 2020
