Agriculture Committee calls for FS and NC to be declared disaster areas

Parliament’s Agriculture Committee has called on the national government to declare parts of the Free State and Northern Cape disaster areas following devastating fires in the provinces.
The fires, that began on Sunday, have destroyed farms in Hertzogville, Hoopstad, Bultfontein, and Dealesville.
Farmers have reported huge losses of property, livestock, and game.
At least one farmer has been admitted to hospital after being trapped in one of the blazes.
#WOF_News: Update FS Fires
WOF has assisted & will continue assisting in the fires in the Free State. The fires have been contained, however, there is a fire risk as this may flare up again.
