COVID-19 deaths surpass 93 100 in SA
The Health Department has reported that 5,244 new COVID-19 infections have been recorded countrywide.
The Western Cape is leading with 1,389 new infections.
It’s followed by Gauteng with just over 1,000 cases.
KwaZulu-Natal has recorded 984 infections.
Limpopo and the Eastern Cape have recorded just over 450 cases.
The rest of the provinces are on just over 200 infections.
The positivity rate stands at 13 percent.
Sadly, in the last 24 to 48 hours, 59 people have died due to Covid-19 related complications, taking the death toll to 93,117.
