1,558 new cases have been recorded in the last 24 hours.
Gauteng is leading with 563 new infections.
It’s followed by the Western Cape with 439 cases.
KwaZulu-Natal recorded 281 infections.
The remaining provinces reported just under one hundred cases.
29,331 tests were conducted with a 5.3-percent positivity rate.
Sadly, six people have died due to COVID-19 related complications in the last 24 to 48 hours.
