The National Institute for Communicable Diseases (NICD) has reported 1,867 new COVID-19 infections and 10 deaths over the past 24 to 48 hours.
The death toll now stands at 99,656.
Over 28,000 tests were conducted over the past day bringing the positivity rate to 6.5 percent.
Gauteng recorded the most cases with 683 cases.
The Western Cape is second with 483 and KwaZulu-Natal third with 280 cases.
