Responsibilities:
Managing/owning the value stream within the data and analytics division.
Managing a team(s) of data analytics and engineering specialists and managers.
Working with business divisions to identify data and analytics requirements.
Supporting and delivering the business divisions’ strategy and business objectives.
Serving as the data and analytics interface and subject matter expert to business divisions.
Providing tactical direction on ‘how best’ to achieve objectives and improvements.
Planning, directing and coordinating the delivery activities of all data and analytics initiatives.
Ensuring that all projects are met in accordance with the agreed timelines.
Candidate Requirements
Skills / Experience:
Relevant degree in Information Management or Finance (preferred Masters degree).
Relevant tertiary qualification in Statistics or Engineering (preferred postgraduate qualification).
7 – 10 years’ proven experience in a Delivery Manager or Data Product Owner role.
Solid understanding of end-to-end data & analytics environments, including Data Governance & Management, Data Warehouse, Business Intelligence, and Data Science.
Proven track record of delivering on complex analytics, data architecture and big data projects.
Proven experience in the following:
A fast-paced, complex environment.
Project and task planning and execution at a large scale within a complex and dynamic environment.
Resource capacity planning using a shared pool of resources within a similar environment.
Proven track record of business relationship management at all levels, especially at a senior/executive level.
At least 2 – 5 years’ experience is a senior management role i.e. leading a team of managers.
SDLC management experience.Experience in research and the development life cycle.
Experience in the following would be ideal:
Practical experience in applying Agile way of working methodologies (SAFe).
Exposure to working in a consulting environment.
Experience working with IT within the banking industry would be beneficial.
