Dis-Chem announces data breach
Dis-Chem has become the latest victim of a data hack.
The pharmacy retailer says a hacker gained access to the first names, surnames, email addresses, and cellphone numbers of more than 3.5 million people.
The breach occurred at one of its third-party service providers.
Dis-Chem says the hack occurred in April and it was informed about it more than a week ago.
The retailer is investigating and says there’s no indication that any personal information has been published or misused.
