Evacuations under way following Free State dam wall burst
A dam has burst its walls in Jagersfontein outside Bloemfontein, sweeping away several houses and cars in the process.
Free State emergency services are evacuating scores of residents from the area.
One person is missing and no casualties have been recorded so far.
20 people are being treated in hospital.
The area is also without electricity.
A statement by the Free State Premier’s office says the dam belongs to a mining company.
Premier Sisi Ntombela is set to visit the area later on Sunday.
