DA wants Energy Minister Gwede Mantashe fired

The Democratic Alliance has again called for a state of disaster around Eskom and the firing of Energy Minister Gwede Mantashe.

In an address on Tuesday, DA leader John Steenhuisen also suggested President Cyril Ramaphosa dissolve the National Energy Crisis Committee.

It wants him to appoint an independent industry expert and cut red tape when it comes to hiring.
