
President Cyril Ramaphosa will address the nation on Sunday at 7pm. The President’s address follows meetings in recent days of the National Coronavirus Command Council (NCCC), the President’s Coordinating Council (PCC), and Cabinet.
The President is expected to discuss lockdown measures after the spike in COVID-19 cases and deaths.
Meanwhile, the Health Department reported 4,519 new COVID-19 cases in South Africa.

Sadly, 70 more people have died, taking the death toll to 56,363.
Ramaphosa has said that the country is entering a third wave of COVID-19 infections.
He says we must do everything in our power to mitigate its impact.
The President was speaking at the ANC Northern Cape provincial elective conference.
