ANC president Cyril Ramaphosa says the 55th conference has reaffirmed the party’s desire to unite and renew itself.
The conference has been adjourned to the 5th of January 2023 as some delegates couldn’t stay until the very end.
Ramaphosa says the ANC has come out united despite the different views and principles within the organization.
“This conference has in many ways proven to be a watershed moment in the life and the history of our movement,” Ramaphosa said.
“Through our deliberations at this conference, we have chosen the path of renewal to rebuild our movement and to restore the values which have been handed down.
“The path of principal unity is also what we’ve upheld in the finest traditions of the ANC.”
