Credit Controller wanted immediately: Salary R20 000 to R25 000 per month
Key performance areas
Manage E-Billing portals. Must be able to work on all E-billing portals, ie Tymetrics, Colloberati, Serengeti, Council link and Ariba, etc
Must have a sound understanding of Ledes and be able to convert files into Ledes format.
Manage budgets relating to E-Billing clients
Manage rates for fee earners
Submit all E-Billing related invoices
Maintain information on E-Billing application
Interact with all fee earners and secretaries and assist with any E-Billing related queries
Team work and communication between credit controller, allocation staff and the Financial Controller
Collection of the company’s debtor’s book – aiming to reduce debtors days outstanding, and 90 days+ to a minimum level.
Meet monthly collection targets
Frequent professional and courteous contact with clients: telephonic (at least 40 calls per month), electronic (email) liaison with clients
Record daily all chasing activity on the debtors’ management system in CMS
Account reconciliation, including matter credit, and unallocated reconciliations
Daily allocation and reconciliation of forex and business receivables
Clear unallocated forex and business receivables within 48 hours. Credit controller must endeavour to obtain payment details at all times to ensure the accuracy of account receipting
Check trust accounts for any business related receivables (email daily to the credit control team)
Run age analysis
Daily documentation of all of the above in the debtors’ management system
Presentation of client accounts including monthly invoice reports, invoices and statements as and when required or when requested by fee earners, secretaries or clients
Post monthly statements and invoices; ensure that clients have received invoices and statements
Handle all account-related queries at accounts level
Identify changes in payment performance, to be communicated to the Invoicing and Collections Manager and noted on the debtors’ management system
Identify clients with special terms and procedures, to be communicated to the Invoicing and Collections Manager and noted on the debtors’ management system
Load client invoices electronically on external database as and when required
Sufficient legal knowledge to issue letters of demand and summonses
Ensure that vendor applications are completed accurately and timeously
Liaise with fee earners to understand any unique and/or specific billing requirements
Ensure adherence to the provisioning policy
Ensure that all invoices adhere to the invoicing standards
Ensure that interest is calculated in accordance with the interest levy standards
Ensure that outstanding debt is collected before 60 days in order to avoid the provisioning of old debt

Matric
Credit Management qualification advantageous
Experience
Must have minimum two years’ experience in credit control on E-billing platforms
Must be able to work in Excel (graphs, pivots, formulas)
Experience in the professional services industry would be advantageous
Sound knowledge of accounting systems; CMS would be advantageous
Sound knowledge of E-Billing mandatory
